Red Guitar

I was listening to this song on my way home and was struck by how the chorus sounds a little like it could be the theme song for one of those Carnival Cruise Line commercials or Club Med or Sandals Beach vacation getaways!

I wonder if the Red Guitar wine people are Idol fans....
Maybe I can stand alone
Maybe I'm strong as stone
Even though the bird has flown
Maybe he'll fly on home

Bumping this up because WE ARE FINALLY GOING TO HEAR A LIVE PERFORMANCE OF THIS! In case you didn't see this already, it is confirmed that this is one of the songs Kris and the band recorded for his AOL Sessions set. Finally! I cannot wait.

I'm just wondering who will play the piano...Kris or Cale?

Please, please, please let it be Kris...I need to see Kris bouncing in the piano a la Bright Lights again....

This song has grown on my tremendously since we first heard the album. It's absolutely one of my favorites now when I was just sort of "meh" on it in the beginning.

And listening to it, I actually think it's soaring and hook-y and dynamic enough to do well on radio. Now, I'm not going to jump to #TeamRedGuitar for second single, but y'know, if this album gets to its 4th single (after one of BWCU/CSA/The Truth and AWM), I would not be opposed to releasing this and seeing where it could go. It's just a damn good song.

I think it could be a hit on HAC/AC. My mom is in love with it. I think she may like it more than I do, which is saying A LOT. She's always asking me why this isn't a single. But she's not exactly on the pulse of pop music.

I think when the last single is released to radio, they should put a couple or more for sale on itunes like Kesha's style. At least it will bring in some revenue. They wouldn't need to send those to adio since the one on radio will do the work for all of them. Kris has a good hook on the single buying demographic and they will buy them.

Red Guitar, Let It Rain, Bring It Back and any unreleased ones left in the top 5 positions of the album.

I'm with taks. I was kinda meh about it at first, but know I find myself paying attention and really listening to it when the song comes on.
