And yet it's one of Kris' faves... should be interesting!

I think Kris implied that Lindy was only involved with the lyrics. Which is fine with me, but then I get flashbacks to that youtube of Toby/Lindy writing with Jordin and this line being produced "Like teacups at disney I'm feeling dizzy"

But I have faith that Kris did not let any of that get into this song.

Hmm. I actually think that teacups line is kind of clever for a certain kind of teen pop singer (i.e. Jordin). It could certainly be far worse. :)

I keep thinking of Tom Petty's "I Need to Know." If this is like that, I'd be happy.

After listening to the clip of this song over and over, to me it's got a very Wipe it Away-ish vibe. It's hard to really tell since in the clip he is repeating the same line many times but based on the musical background, WIA was the first thing that popped in my head.

Does anyone else hear it?

I got that impression, too. Partly because of the "arising out of a moment" similarity, so I had that preprogrammed in my head, and partly because of the angsty vocal - like the music is coming up from some deep, needful place...

Gah, I hate 30 second snippets.

It's interesting that all the songs cowritten with Lindy Robbins turn out to be some of the top favourites. So much for the our worrying (including Jim!) :P

Yeah, I'm starting to wonder if that wasn't a little pre-emptive strike from Jim there...

I really, really want to hear the rest of this song. Maybe snippet selection was odd but I certainly got the whole "raw emotion" vibe. And I think this could be the song Jim twittered about with the piano and cello? I love spare arrangements.

This song KILLS me. Dear me, the angst in his voice. The rawness. The passion. I cannot wait to hear the whole thing. The production sounds amazing, which pleases me, because I didn't know what to make of Toby Gad as producer. But, it sounds really, really spare, which tells me that Toby got the vibe that was clearly coming from Kris when he wrote this.

I desperately need to hear the verses, and, even then, I have a feeling I am going to desperately need to hear Kris explain what it's about, which means I'm just going to be desperate forever because I doubt he ever will. Kris, you tease!

I love this one so much. I have a feeling this one is going to rip my heart out when I hear the whole thing. I love Kris's indie side, and I feel like this is his gift to those of us who loved Falling Slowly.
