Hmmm not that I'm a huge fan but The Truth would make a great radio single. Other than people's personal feelings towards it, I'm not sure why there would be angst if the song was chosen. I can see it being one of, if not the biggest hits on the radio. And that is exactly what Kris needs, a HUGE hit.

I know people outside of the Idol bubble who really connect with the song.

I agree with you on this one. My 16 yo son and his friends really like this song. It is also one of my favorites at the moment. Plus, I think it was pretty high on itunes as far as sales after LLWD and AWM (now). I just don't like it that much in person (but that can change). All I know is that I am glad that I am not his record label and I don't have to choose which song will be the next single.

I think some people are scared that if "The Truth" becomes a hit, then Kris's second album will have a lot of songs in the same vein. I don't think that's fair (or true), but I understand the concerns.

I understand the concerns too but if anyone listens to Kris's album they would know that most of his songs are not like that (although it's a sweeping ballad, which isn't horrible IMO). I have faith in Kris and Jive to do what's best.

And to clarify, I don't necessarily think that The Truth should be single #2 per se (I prefer Alright With Me), but I do think it would be a good single for radio at some point.
