How
Post here to claim which city you want to help make suggestions. Even if KAB is not coming to your city (or country), you can still make suggestions for your area. As a bribe. Or, you know, if they ever decide to do a show there in the future. If you are making a page for a location not on this tour, please still post to make your claim so those compiling the project know what to expect.

See a sample of the suggested format below or in full size here. As the band does not have a lot of time on their hands at each stop, we are going to keep suggestions short and simple. Be smart about it, suggesting things close to the venue that would be open even after the show is over.

Jmom suggested multiple people contributing ideas for one location, with one page being made for each place. I think that is a great way to get as many people involved as possible. To keep things simple, one person should actually make the page, so I'll bold the name of the first person to sign up for each location, and they'll be the one to send contributions to for that city. If your name is bolded and you don't want to be responsible for making the page and sending it to kt_cle, then say so, and I'm sure someone else will be happy to do it. Unless you are the only one for your city, then you'll have to suck it up. :P

Some dates should be set. First of all, a date (obviously before October 15th) to get this delivered and into the hands of the band. Those coordinating the handoff can decide on this. When we know when the delivery is happening, a date should be set for people signing up to make a page. That way yobench can know which cities still need to be covered. Also, there needs to be a deadline for sending the actual document in so kt_cle (Kathy) can put it together. Kathy, let us know how much time you want to have to work on printing and binding.

Jmom suggested making some intro pages. Jmom, are you wanting to work on that? If not, we'll need people to speak up if they are interested in helping with that part too.

Thank you for setting this up. This is perfect. I can work on the intro pages with input from others (like always, all suggestions are welcome). I need to get some work done for RL, but will check in again at lunch time.

Sidenote: I am not able to see Twitter at work. So I am not able to respond to any tweets that are sent to me until the evenings. Best way to get a hold of me is to respond or PM me here.

Hi, guys! I hate to be any sort of Debbie Downer, but I just want to be realistic with you.

Apparently the guys actually have very little free time during show days. They usually wake up around 10, and then between eating, working out and soundcheck, there isn't much time for else. Some of the group like to go out to a bar nearby after the show, but not all the time.

SO BASICALLY. Don't put too much thought and effort into your page. Focus on what is close to the venue. There might be some cities that they have overnights in, but for most of them there just isn't that much time. Maybe we could organize our pages like this:

WHILE IN (name of city here), YOU SHOULD...
-name something nearby and within walking distance (whether it's sight-seeing, a restaurant, a park to play Frisbee, etc)

IF YOU HAVE EXTRA TIME, YOU SHOULD...

-this could be someplace not as close to the venue, but accessible someway (public transportation, cab, etc).

Also, for any restaurants you recommend, please include their hours of operation on the day they're in that city. As we've seen a few times, they get out of shows so late that nothing is open, especially on Sundays.

Good to know, yobench. Definitely dnw Cale to feel rejected again, by Louisville or otherwise. I like the "if you have extra time" part especially. I don't know which cities they will spend more time in, but in case it's the city I have then I want to make sure there are enough suggestions!

Finn - you can handle this! ;) Seriously though, are you thinking you need help with ideas or with formatting and putting the page together? If it's the latter, you can send me your suggestions and I'll do the layout.

I don't know if we have enough time to do this but I kinda have an idea for the layout? I was thinking that maybe we could make something crazy yet artsy, like the scrapbook in Elizabethtown.

Here's a picture:

And here's the scene from the movie that shows the scrapbook (spoiler alert):

The link, just in case.

Oops. Rock 'n' roll.

mabe, I think that's really cute! But I feel like that might break the "don't get too involved!" rule that was set-up. I'd just feel bad if someone put in all that effort and the band didn't even have time to get off the bus in that city, ya know?

I created a touristy page for DC as a sample. Basically welcoming them to the city, talking a bit about the venue and then giving them ideas of stuff to do. It took me 5 minutes to write, but I feel like it's still ~personal. Kathy would know since she's so kindly offered to coordinate it, but do we think regular Word documents would be easiest to print and assemble?

This is perfect. I will respond more later today. I am helping hand out 1700 cookies to my company. Yikes. Thank you for everyone chipping in. (yobench: i don't think you are being debbie downer at all :}

I'm not sure if anyone from the SoCal region is intimately familiar with Universal City Walk, I know I'm not. (The only concert I've seen at Gibson Ampitheater was R. Kelly... lol.)

But for my two cents: Pink's and Tommy's are both on the City Walk (at least, I believe they are) and are both amazing. Although, I suspect it's entirely possible that the guys have spent enough time in Los Angeles (... especially whoever it was that lives there... Andrew? I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong) to have eaten both Pink's and Tommy's.

I don't go to SF nearly enough to think of recs from there, but I can at least ask around and see if I can dig anything up.
